The Christmas Lunch - with photographs!
Once again the CIPR GAG Annual Christmas Lunch was a triumphant full house, with public affairs professionals, politicians, and assorted hangers on coming together to mark the beginning of the festive season, enjoying good food and good company.
Once again we were in the fine surroundings of the Members' Dining Room of the House of Commons, with the bonus of a reception beforehand in Parliament's Terrace Pavilion.
Andrew Pierce of the Telegraph was our after lunch speaker this year, and entertained diners greatly with his tour d'horizon of the political scene as 2006 drew to a close.
Many thanks go to Rebecca Whitney and her team at Electus, who were this year's sponsors of the lunch.
And thanks also to Dod's for sponsoring - with their Political Wizard hat on - the free drinks reception in the Red Lion afterwards, which helpfully bridged the gap between lunch and dinner for those otherwise at a loose end.
Thanks to all who came long. Hope you enjoyed yourselves, and see you again at the 2007 lunch (and hopefully at some of our events in the meantime too).
