Summer Reception - 20th July 2006

The Government Affairs Group summer reception took place on Thursday 20th June on a lovely summer's evening at the SW1 Gallery in Victoria.

Sponsored by Ellwood and Atfield there were approximately 150 public affairs professionals at the flagship event. After a number of years at the National Liberal Club it was felt that it was time to try out a new venue and the SW1 Gallery in the new Cardinal Place development in Victoria proved a popular choice.

Colleagues were welcomed by GAG Chair Robert Khan and Gavin Ellwood who said he was proud to sponsor the reception once again. The evening's entertainment included a live jazz band and a magician (appropriately enough for the industry), as well as ample supplies of refreshments. Colleagues from across public affairs were out in force to network and mingle.

The reception is a regular fixture in the public affairs calendar and this year's large turnout reflected the fact that the industry and the Government Affairs Group are enjoying considerable success.
