Daniel Finkelstein is a weekly columnist for and Comment Editor of the Times newspaper. Before joining the Times in 2001, he was an adviser to Prime Minister, John Major and Conservative leader, William Hague. He is a prominent media commentator, well known for his regular appearances on Newsnight's political panel. He gave a tour d'horizon of the current political scene.
