Peter Luff has been a Worcestershire MP 1992.  Prior to his election to Parliament he worked for Peter Walker (now Lord Walker) when he was MP for Worcestershire.  During the 1980s he headed up the private office of the late Sir Edward Heath and then moved into the communications industry where he became a well regarded public affairs practitioner and was Managing Director at Good Relations.

In 1997, Peter was appointed Chairman of the Commons Agriculture Committee. In 2000, he joined the frontbench as an Opposition Whip. He served as Assistant Chief Whip from 2002 to 2005. Peter is now Chairman of the influential Trade and Industry Select Committee.

Peter talked about the work of select committees and the relevance of lobbying them. 

The meeting was followed by a drinks and canapé reception.
