GAG members are communication and public affairs professionals, in-house, consultancy or freelance who interact with Government, including central Government, the European Union, the devolved Parliament and Assemblies etc.
GAG members are not only 'lobbyists' but includes people who work for government agencies, who write about government and who provide services to government.
The Group's programme includes regular speaker meetings and lunches and a free member's handbook.

The Government Affairs Group is a sectoral group of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. However there is no need to join the CIPR in order to join us. While our on-line membership registration facility is being developed, you can join by downloading and printing the Microsoft Word version of the membership form from this webpage. Once completed, please return to the Membership Secretary as stated on the form.
If you are already a CIPR member and you are interested in joining us you can do so by contacting the CIPR and nominating us as a sectoral group. You do not have to use the application form on this site. There may be a fee to pay for joining additional sectoral groups.
