Andrew Pierce, Andrew Hawkins and Village Drinks
The CIPR GAG Committee met on Monday night and agreed to ask Andrew Pierce, senior political journalist, to speak at the Group's Annual Lunch which is going ahead on Friday 1st December in the Member's Dining Room. As if by magic, and one day later, Andrew had agreed. Such is the power of CIPR GAG!
The Committee also noted that tickets for the Inaugural Annual Lecture were going very strongly (it's scheduled for Tuesday 17th October) and tickets are still available from our Hon. Sec. Louisa Stevens at louisa.stevens@ecca.org.uk.
Finally we agreed to co-opt Andrew Hawkins of Communicate Research to the Group's Committee (Andrew is currently running our membership survey) who will bring a fantastic skill-set to the Group's work.
Committee members Robert Khan, Keith Johnston and Lionel Zetter also attended the first Village Drinks Politicos Meeting at Soho House, which the Group was pleased to sponsor on Tuesday. Keith had a great time and Lionel was very proud of his joke about being the only straight in the Village!
